I’m most proud of the people who have stuck with me through my countless mistakes and who have propped me up time and time again when I’ve fallen.
Community involvement.
I joined the Rutland City Board of Aldermen in 2023 and am the aldermanic representative on the Rutland Free Library Renovation Project Committee and the Otter Creek Communications Union District; a referee for Cutting Edge women’s hockey and an assistant coach for youth soccer; a former member of the Rutland City Rotary Club; and a former board member for Rutland Young Professionals and the Chamber and Economic Development of the Rutland Region.
Motivation for living and working in Vermont.
It’s beautiful here, my family is here and the community here is second to none. They don’t make Vermonters anywhere else.
Favorite part of your job.
Getting to learn so much every single day.
Most inspiring mentor.
My Rutland High School history teacher, Taborri Bruhl. I didn’t have very ambitious aspirations for my future. Mr. Bruhl told me I was capable, and he encouraged me to want more for myself. It really motivated me to start trying, and I’ve been trying ever since.
Best career advice you have received.
Keep going, follow my interests and let everything else fall as it may.
