Career highlight you are most proud of.
Getting my licensure. It’s been a few years now, but that was an exciting step in my professional development.

Community involvement.
Includes food drives, working with Special Olympics, camps and outreach with youths, designing for communities, raising awareness about the importance of green space and outdoor access, serving on town boards, working on my town garden/flower planters, and flood relief fundraising. I was also a friend to a Syrian family through the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants and got to watch their journey to citizenship.

Motivation for living and working in Vermont.
I grew up here and knew after I spent time away for college that I wanted find my way back. There is just something about this brave little state!

Favorite part of your job.
Being creative and solving the unique challenges that come with every project. I love that every site presents a different puzzle.

Something fun about yourself that few people know.
I spent a summer in Argentina when I was 15.

Favorite Vermont escape.
In the woods of the Green Mountains, either on foot or cross-country skis.

Favorite Vermont season.
I couldn’t possibly choose one — they all offer something to enjoy! The change of seasons is one of my favorite things about Vermont.

Favorite downtime activities.
Skiing, gardening and cooking.

Favorite smell.
Fresh-baked apple pie.

Person you would most like to share a Vermont beverage with.
Jimmy Kimmel.

Causes you would support if you had unlimited access to funds.
Eliminating food insecurity and access to clean water.

Where you see yourself professionally in the next five to 10 years.
Doing what I am doing now: designing outdoor spaces for Vermonters to enjoy.

Career goals you would like to accomplish in the next five to 10 years.
To emphasize green infrastructure and stormwater practice in our projects. We need to create resilient communities for the future, especially given the changes to the climate and weather patterns we are experiencing. One way I can help with this is through careful and considerate design.
