ALICIA Browning
Company: Stone and Browning Property Management
Title: Leasing Specialist/Business Development
Age: 29
Favorite Part of my Job: My favorite part of my job is helping people find their next home. I love finding the perfect rental for residents. It’s very rewarding!
What three words best describe you: Outgoing. Optimistic. Friendly.
Favorite Vermont Escape: Our family camp at Lyford Pond in Walden, Vermont. No cell phone service and it’s quiet and peaceful! It’s my happy place.
If you had unlimited access to funds, which causes would you support: I would support the Vermont Network Against Domestic Violence & Sexual Support. Everyone deserves a voice.
What is the best career advice you have received: Find something you love to do! You should never dread going to work in the morning- if you do it’s time for a change. Life is too short!
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont: My roots are in Barre, Vermont. I come from a long line of small businesses in this town and I chose to come back here to keep that alive. I want to make a difference in our small town.
Career Highlights: My biggest career highlight has been being able to work with my brother, Mark Browning and his business partner Reuben Stone. The three of us make a fantastic team and work very well together. The reason they started this property management company was to bring affordable, modern housing to Barre in order to help keep some of the younger generation here. It’s been 4 years and we now manage over 400 units. It’s been a fantastic journey so far.
