Career Highlights:
Andrew is on the executive management team at AllEarth Renewables as the company's director of communications and public affairs. Previously, he served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Vermont Congressman Peter Welch where he managed the Congressman’s legislative team and helped author a U.S. House-passed $6 billion national energy efficiency retrofit program. Andrew is past communications director for Congressman Welch. In this position he helped lead an initiative to make Welch’s office the first carbon neutral office in Congress and earn features in the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe and National Journal. In 2008, he directed communications and served a spokesperson for President Barack Obama’s successful presidential primary in Utah. Andrew is a previous director of Vermont Senate Victory, where he helped elect the largest Democratic Senate majority in Vermont history, and served as Aide to the President Pro Tem in the Vermont Senate.
Community Involvement:
In addition to being a long-serving staff member to Congressman Welch, Andrew served as chair of the Renewable Energy Vermont's (REV) legislative committee for the 2011 session, where the state enacted a first-in-the-nation solar registration process and statewide solar net metering incentive. He is a past board member of the Burlington Conservation Board and volunteer high school cross country skiing coach, and has served as a political adviser to several successful Vermont political campaigns.
