Favorite Part of Job? My colleagues and clients make my job fun. They not only keep me on my toes but I learn something new everyday.
Most Inspiring Mentor: I have two: my mom and my dad. Through the good times and bad, they have taught me that hard work always pays off and that everything really does happen for a reason. I am truly blessed to have them in my life.
Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: Despite years of my husband trying to teach me, I still can't eat with chopsticks!
Favorite Downtime Activity: Spending time at our new home with my husband and our two young children, Sebastian and Stella. Time seems to be flying by so I am trying to enjoy every minute of our daily routine!
Favorite Vermont Escape: My in-law's dairy farm in Franklin County. I was married on the farm seven years ago. Now, I love seeing my children's eyes light up when they ride on the tractors or feed the cows.
Favorite Social Media: Twitter. It gives me all the news I need in 140 characters!
Favorite Website: I love the Today show and don't get to watch it as much these days so I get my fix on their website, Today.com. It's a great mix of news and entertainment.
Vermont Business Person you would most want to Network with: Mary Powell, President and CEO of Green Mountain Power.
Career Highlights: As an Account Supervisor at People Making Good PR, I am responsible for developing and implementing public relations strategies and campaigns for wide variety of clients. I manage a team of Account Executives and oversee 12-15 clients. Before coming to PMG, I was the Marketing/Media Relations Coordinator at the University of Vermont School of Business Administration. I also spent nearly a decade as an Anchor, Reporter and Producer at WCAX-TV.
Community Involvement: I am an annual supporter of the Vermont Children's Trust Foundation and sponsor of the "Adopt-a-Family" program during the holidays. Last year, I helped raise funds to support Fletcher Allen Health Care's Steps To Wellness, a program that serves the unique needs of cancer survivors. I have volunteered at elementary, middle and high schools to talk to students about career choices, the media and the importance of a college education and also worked as a Mobius Mentor.
