Christine Burdick
Career Highlights:
Worked as a commercial interior designer in New York City. Worked for ACG Architects, in Washington, DC. Six years working as an Interior Designer for TruexCullins and Partners in Burlington, managing large scale commercial interiors projects. In 2010 I utilized my services on an as-needed basis giving me the opportunity to provide support to many architects in Vermont and New Hampshire, thus my business began in the basement of my home. I eventually relocated to downtown Burlington, and my studio now houses 4 full-time interior designers.
Community Involvement:
Pro-bono design services to Survivorship Now. Support the Vermont March of Dimes. Christine Burdick Design is a Champlain College Internship partner and supports young professionals who are interested in pursuing a career in Interior Design or related fields by providing internship positions in the studio. Served on the Colchester Development Review Board from 2005-2007. Currently volunteer as a soccer coach for the Colchester Youth Soccer league.
Favorite part of job? My favorite part of Interior Design is the variety of tasks that are accomplished in any given day.
Most inspiring mentor? Joe Greene of Joseph Architects in Waterbury because of his upbeat personality and ability to manage clients and design teams
Who is your living hero? My grandfather, Richard Wise. He was a prominent businessman and has provided me with encouragement and wisdom over the years.
Favorite downtime activity? Spending time with my family. they are creative, athletic and all around hilarious.
Favorite Vermont Escape? Our backyard.
Favorite social network? Facebook. The one place in this world where you can organize information on childhood friends, college friends, city-hopping friends, business contacts, mommy connections, workout buddies and a very large family.
Favorite website? Design Sponge.
Vermont Business Person you would most want to network with? Nicole Ravlin. Every time.
