Career highlight you are most proud of:
The career highlight I'm most proud of is serving in the Vermont Air National Guard for 11 years. With my specialty being heating and air conditioning I was able to use that knowledge along with 10 years of local trade experience to open my own business in 2022. I am now one of the largest Fujitsu heat pump installers in the state of Vermont.
Community Involvement:
My community involvement includes supporting and participating in multiple charities and foundations, such as, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, the Afterglow Foundation, and the Bellcate School. They each put on different events throughout the year that I enjoy being a part of.
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont?
I was born and raised here. I have traveled multiple places around the country and the world and it's the only place that would ever feel like home to me.
Favorite part of your job:
My favorite part of my job is meeting new people everyday. Every house is different so I enjoy getting creative to help find a solution to help save on utility costs and cut fossil fuel usage.
Most inspiring mentor and why:
My parents have brought me to be the person I am now. My mom has been a successful business owner for several years and my dad is one of the hardest working individuals I've ever met. Outside of my parents, it would be my Uncle Chris. He is someone I've always gone to for any type of professional advice though the years.
What is the best career advice you have received?
The best career advice I have received is to never take on jobs you can't handle. It's not worth the stress if you're in too deep and no longer enjoying things.
Favorite Vermont escape:
My favorite Vermont escape is snowboarding at Smuggs. I began riding there when I was about 8 years old and I never get tired of going there.
Favorite Vermont season:
My favorite Vermont season is summer. My wife, Emily and our dog, Gus spend every minute we can heading out on the lake on our boat.
What is your favorite smell?
Anything on the grill.
If you had unlimited access to funds, which cause(s) would you support:
The cause I would support is Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. They all put in an incredible amount of work to provide extraordinary experiences for kids who have or have had cancer.
Where do you see yourself professionally in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years I'd like to continue operating as a small business. It gives me joy to personally make and maintain a connection with all my customers.
