Favorite Part of Job? I love the people I get to work with. Everyone is incredibly committed to making our world a healthier and safer place and we get to have fun doing it.
Most Inspiring Mentor: My father has always encouraged me to strive for the brass ring, not to settle for less. He's also shown me that reaching that elusive ring should be measured by making the world better not financial gain.
Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: Right now only our family knows that Mia and I are expecting our second child in April. I guess this article will spill that secret.
Favorite Downtime Activity: I love to cook. The focus it requires has a nice way of clearing my mind.
Favorite Vermont Escape: Dinner with my wife at Hen of the Wood.
Favorite Social Media: Having a beer at the Three Penny Taproom.
Favorite Website: The company dashboard on salesforce.com or redsox.com
Vermont Business Person you would most want to Network with: Bill Stenger. We are excited to expand to the Kingdom and help folks there save money on their energy bills.
Career Highlights: I started my career with Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing and leadership. To this day I relay on the skills that program gave me. In 2004, I ran a non-partisan effort that registered one out of every seven young adults in New Mexico. With VPIRG I worked with legislators to craft some of the nation's strongest clean energy policy and retire Vermont Yankee. At SunCommon we've grown from 16 to 60 full time employees and contractors and we've helped more than 600 families save money with solar power.
Community Involvement: In the past I've volunteered at the Hunger Mountain Food Co-op and served on the board of the Energy Co-op of Vermont. These days all of my time is focused on my young family and young business.
