Company: WCAX-TV
Title: Senior Digital Media Specialist

Favorite Part of Job? Working in the digital field, of the news and local business industry is never boring. I am constantly learning new marketing methods and developing advertising strategies for our local market, which is very fun! It certainly keeps me busy throughout the day!
Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: I used to be the “Lovely Miss Jenn-Jenn on a local late-night television show called “Late night Saturday with Tim Kavanagh”. I spun a prize wheel, clapped, and handed out prizes to the live audience- it was a blast!
Favorite Vermont Escape: Sunrise at the top of Camel’s Hump. There is literally nothing quite as rejuvenating as gazing up Vermont’s mountainous spine while the sun is rising.
Favorite Downtime Activity: Hiking, mountain biking, skiing and visiting new Vermont Brewery’s!
Favorite Social Media: Instagram- by far! I’m a very visual person and Instagram is nothing but photos showing a glimpse of someone’s world.
Person you would like to share a Vermont beverage with: There are so many amazing people in this world, but one human that is most intriguing to me is Free Solo climber Alex Honnold. I have so many questions on how he ascended El Capitan without using safety gear!
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont? Why wouldn’t I want to live and work in this beautiful state? The people, the landscape, the adventures, everything is right on par with my love and passion for life.
Career Highlights: This sounds silly, but I would consider every day that I arrive at WCAX a career highlight. I’ve had the opportunity to help many local businesses navigate the digital world and that is rewarding. Every day I am fortunate to be using my degree, whether it be designing ads, maintaining Google Adwords accounts or websites for local businesses, it's helping our local community. I also really enjoy working with my colleagues- they’re the best!
Community Involvement: I have been involved in the Adaptive Skiing Industry since 2009, volunteering as a Lead Instructor at a variety of mountains throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. I am humbled to work with a variety of individuals whose ability levels range anywhere from being a mentally impaired stand up skier to a physically impaired sit-down skier. I am also involved with a few local endurance races that help to raise money for Adaptive Sports programs. The 24 Hours of Bolton hosted by Native Endurance is a 24-hour back country ski race to raise money for Vermont Adaptive and the 3 Notch Century is a 100-mile bike ride through three notches of New Hampshire to raise money for a local adaptive program called Crotched Mountain Accessible Recreation and sports.
Outside of the Adaptive sports world, I am a brand ambassador for a local workout studio in Burlington called Athletx. In addition to being a brand ambassador, I also coach TRX Suspension training for the Norwich Women’s Soccer team at Norwich University.
