Being able to enhance people’s lives through access to quality employment. Human resources is challenging, but rewarding work.
Community involvement.
I serve as the secretary for the Morristown Centennial Library Board of Trustees. Libraries are critical resources for ourcommunities and I’m incredibly proud of the programming and initiatives the library has offered over mytime on the board.This year I joined the Vermont State HR Council and I’ve loved digging into the professional communitythat is offered through the council and vast network of amazing HR people doing stellar work of theirorganizations.
Motivation for living and working in Vermont.
I couldn’t imagine any other place to raise my daughter; she loves every part of Vermont. It’s a special place. I’m dedicated to doing work both professionally and in communities that make Vermont even better.
Favorite part of your job.
The people I get to work with; our team is incredible. Everyone plays a vital role in the fight for climate change. They make me proud every day.
Most inspiring mentors.
The managers I worked with in my first dedicated HR role. They were both strong professional women, with a thoughtful approach to every situation, who encouraged my growth. I often still pause to think, “What would Dana or Donna do?“
