Career highlights you are most proud of.
My career started with AmeriCorps, where I worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency responding to a landslide in Oso, Washington, which devastated the community there. As with the climate change-induced natural disasters we are facing in Vermont, this experience deepened my commitment to supporting and working with the communities I am part of to increase resiliency. I am proud of this common thread in my career path, from working for the state of Vermont in constituent services, to helping Vermonters access solar power and battery storage, and now to my work at Green Mountain Power.
Community involvement.
My community involvement revolves around connecting with individuals and supporting local food and arts. This includes helping increase voter awareness and turnout during local and national elections, participating in the annual Committee on Temporary Shelter phonathon, and joining and helping coordinate local volunteer responses throughout COVID-19 and the July ’23 flooding in Barre and Montpelier. You can also find me volunteering with Local Motion, at events like Summervale and South End Art Hop in Burlington or at Feeding Chittenden. This year, I am also part of Leadership Champlain, working on a service project for a local nonprofit.

The opportunity to help make Vermont a place that supports everyone who is growing up, working and living here now and in the future.
Favorite part of your job.
The people and the mission. Every day I have the opportunity to work with a team that is passionate and engaged in creating solutions for Vermonters to contribute to decreasing carbon emissions.
Most inspiring mentors.
My parents. Their dedication to public service from their time in the Peace Corps to all of their work in Vermont for the state and public schools has impacted my own career path and decision to live and work in Vermont.

I am certified to operate forklifts in California.

All of them! Each season holds so many favorite traditions and good food. (I had a few cider donuts today!)
