Community Involvement:
I'm proud to be on the board of two amazing Vermont organizations. The Vermont Long-Term Disaster Relief Fund formed after Tropical Storm Irene with the goal of helping disaster survivors rebuild their homes and lives. The Preservation Trust of Vermont is a unique organization whose mission is to help communities save and use historic places.
Favorite part of job? Meeting with businesses across Vermont to discuss ways to save on their energy bills. When we help make companies more cost competitive with natural gas, they can add good paying jobs and lower their carbon emissions.
Most inspiring mentor? I have been blessed to work with many incredible people over the years who have inspired me both personally and professionally. Governor Douglas, who I worked with for almost 10 years, has had a tremendous impact on my life.
Who is your living hero? All of our nation's veterans. We can never take for granted their courage and sacrifice to protect our liberty.
Favorite downtime activity? Anything outdoors: hiking, running, biking, snowshoeing, skiing depending on the season.
Favorite Vermont Escape? On top of Camel's Hump or anywhere in the Northeast Kingdom.
Favorite social network? The kind that is completely analog.
Favorite website? I follow bike racing at www.steephill.tv. It's a perfect escape.
Vermont Business Person you would most want to network with? I am particularly interested in the food movement in Vermont and am always interested to meet the people who are responsible for growing the amazing food we enjoy here.
