Favorite Part of Job? I enjoy working with clients to improve their web presence and seeing the resulting improvements to their income and lives. Also rewarding to watch our staff develop professionally and grow personally.
Most Inspiring Mentor: My grandfather moved out of his house as a young teenager and worked his way towards eventually owning a handful of restaurants in central Maine. Learned a lot about work ethic and customer service and leadership while watching him at the restaurant during summers growing up.
Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: Sometimes the story books that I read my kids make me tear up and I need to read them slowly while counting down from 100 by 7s. One time I had to hand the book off to my wife and the whole family WTF'd me.
Favorite Vermont Escape: Sitting in a tree and hunting is starting to grow on me.
Favorite Downtime Activity: Drinking beer and taking naps.
Favorite Super Hero: Iron Man.
Favorite Social Media: No time for that.
Person you would like to share a Vermont beverage with: I'd love to drink Heady Topper with Jesus.
What is the best career advice you have received? Listen for feedback from anyone that gives it, try to find the feedback from people when they're not intentionally giving it.
Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years? Hard telling not knowing.
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont? Winters, mountains, lifestyle, cheese, beer, windy roads, people.
Career Highlights: My first real business, an eBay store, was a great life lesson but a business failure. It's been nice (*knock on wood*) that Burlington Bytes is growing and doing well.
Community Involvement: Our family moved to Huntington last year, my son started Kindergarten this year. It's been a fun change to be getting involved in community stuff with kids, a big change from the adult-only world I'm used to.
