SETH WebbSeth Webb

Town of Killington

Career Highlights:
Seth Webb, a veteran marketing, events and special projects director in both the public and private sectors, currently serves as Interim Town Manager for the Town of Killington. Most recently, he helped manage the emergency response and recovery efforts following Tropical Storm Irene for the Towns of Killington, Mendon, Bridgewater and Pittsfield. Seth moved to Vermont in February of 2010 to become Executive Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the Town of Killington.  In his first year, he created a strategic economic development plan for the Town, helped secure $285,000 in grants, produced special events that generated over $1.4 million in estimated economic impact, and led a marketing effort that reached 20+ million people in important targeted audiences promoting Killington as a premiere four season destination.  Seth also spearheaded a successful effort to designate a 50-mile stretch of U.S. Route 4 from Hartford to West Rutland as an official Vermont Byway, Seth came to Killington from New York City, where he worked for Civic Entertainment Group LLC (CEG), a public spirited marketing and promotions agency.  At CEG he served as the Director of Marketing and Public Affairs managing over $7 million in national campaigns for brands including CNN, A&E Television Networks and I Love NY.  Before joining CEG, Seth worked as the Director of Special Projects and Outreach for the State of Illinois where he led a variety of successful marketing and economic development initiatives.

Prior to Illinois, Webb was a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer, serving as a municipal development advisor to the Mayor of San Juan Cotzal in Guatemala.  Before his Peace Corp service, Webb worked as the Director of Marketing and Special Events for the New York Parks Department where he produced major concerts and events in Central Park including Sting Live, Sheryl Crow and Friends and the Dalai Lama’s Public Address. Seth is a graduate of Kenyon College in Ohio and an avid outdoorsman.
