Victoria Bronner

38 | President/COO, Bank of Burlington
Residence: Chittenden

Career highlight you are most proud of:
The career highlight I'm most proud of is helping to open the first new bank in Vermont in over 30 years. A new bank is not something that happens everyday, navigating the regulatory requirements and raising the capital to open  was challenging but ultimately very rewarding.  There was a need in Vermont for a different kind of bank and the response we have received has been exceptional.

Community Involvement:
My community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Flynn Theater, helping to spread awareness and support for performing arts in Vermont.  I serve as the alumni representative on the UVM student athlete advisory board, helping to support the student athletes and athletic administration.  I serve on the UVM Foundation Leadership Council.  I also volunteer as a soccer coach for Shelburne Recreation.

What motivated you to live and work in Vermont?
I was motivated to live and work in Vermont because of the sense of community that is so unique to our state.  My favorite part of business are the relationships that are formed and with almost everyone you meet here you can find some connection to use as a building block for forming a relationship.

Favorite part of your job:
My favorite part of my job is the people. From the people I have the privilege of working with and learning from to the customers I get to help, it is the most rewarding part of my job.

What is the best career advice you have received?
The best career advice I have received is to always lead with integrity and you can't make the wrong decision.

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know:
Few people know that I really love board games.

What three words best describe you:
Three words that best describe me are passionate, loyal and conscientious.

Favorite Vermont escape:
My favorite Vermont escape is my backyard. I am the happiest sitting in my backyard with my husband and kids on a beautiful Vermont summer night.
