Career highlight you are most proud of:
The career highlight I'm most proud of is growing the statewide adaptive mountain bike program over the last 6 years. The program has grown from a small program in the Mad River Valley to a statewide program with over 40 mountain bikes and weekly summer programs for school groups, individuals, and special events. In addition to the daily programming, I've been an active role in advocating for accessible trails in Vermont with VMBA & KBF. We've worked to assess trails for everybody throughout the state to ensure people can ride the trails with whatever bike they have! Another highlight is the growth of the Sugarbush seasonally program in particular the adaptive facility at Mt Ellen. I was an active part of helping the 40 square foot office be transformed into a 4,000 square foot facility designed specifically for adaptive athletes and programming including a sensory room, elevator, equipment storage/space and more programming space to operate at a high level at Sugarbush.
Community Involvement:
My community involvement includes working with VMBA & KBF to advocate for trails for everybody specifically for mountain biking. Through assessments, we visit trail networks look at width, camber, bridges, accessibility, etc.
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont?
I was motivated to live and work in Vermont because this is where I grew up and wanted to share the love of Vermont's natural scenery and year-round areas to get outside and play! I grew up riding Sugarbush, hiking and paddling in the NEK and running the Millstone Trails in Barre.
Favorite part of your job:
My favorite part of my job is being outside, helping people be active and being part of the community on a daily basis.
Most inspiring mentor and why:
My most inspiring mentor is my rowing coach in college who later became a co-coach and still is a close friend.

Few people know that I went to clown camp growing up and can still juggle!
Favorite Vermont escape:
My favorite Vermont escape is camping in the NEK coupled with mountain biking, a beer at Hill Farmstead & pizza at Parker Pie.
